At Wrist Guard LDN, we believe fine watches should be worn and enjoyed, not hidden away in a safe. A London collector came to us with a remarkable pair: two Rolex Day-Date 40s in 18 ct Everose gold, one with the rich Chocolate dial set with baguette diamonds, the other with the sought-after sunray Olive Green dial and faceted Roman numerals.
The brief was clear: protect the high-polish Everose gold from hairline scratches and scuffs, without changing how either watch looks.
The challenge
What made this watch demanding.
The fluted bezel
The sharp geometric facets of the fluted bezel need precise alignment, so the film covers every facet without softening its signature reflections.
The President bracelet
Each rounded, three-piece link needs its own tailored piece of film, so the bracelet keeps its natural flex and the protection stays out of sight.
The precious metal
Everose gold has a warm, deep lustre that must not be dulled, clouded or changed by the film.
The solution
How we protected it.
We hand-mapped a bespoke film layout for both watches and fitted our optically clear thermoplastic polyurethane film across every exposed surface. Its high-gloss finish mirrors the natural sheen of polished gold, and its self-healing surface recovers from light swirl marks.

The results
Worn daily. Kept pristine.
Both Day-Dates left the studio protected against daily wear and abrasion. The film is thin enough that the dimensions, weight and edge profiles of both watches look exactly as they did before.
