At Wrist Guard LDN, we believe fine watches should be worn and enjoyed, not hidden away in a safe. A London collector came to us with a remarkable pair: two Rolex Datejusts in Rolesor, polished gold paired with Oystersteel. One combines yellow gold with a sunray green dial, the other Everose gold with a slate dial, both with Roman numerals and diamond-set details.
The brief was clear: protect the polished gold and steel from hairline scratches and scuffs, without changing how either watch looks.
The challenge
What made this watch demanding.
The fluted bezel
The sharp facets of the gold fluted bezels need precise alignment, so the film covers every facet without softening their signature reflections.
The Jubilee bracelet
Five-piece links, with polished gold centre links, need dozens of small, tailored pieces of film, so the bracelet keeps its supple flex and the protection stays out of sight.
Two metals
Polished gold and Oystersteel sit side by side, so the film must keep both finishes exactly as they are, with no dulling or clouding.
The solution
How we protected it.
We hand-mapped a bespoke film layout for both watches and fitted our optically clear thermoplastic polyurethane film across every exposed surface. Its high-gloss finish mirrors the natural sheen of polished gold and steel, and its self-healing surface recovers from light swirl marks.

The results
Worn daily. Kept pristine.
Both Datejusts left the studio protected against daily wear and abrasion. The film is thin enough that the dimensions, weight and edge profiles of both watches look exactly as they did before.
